India’s largest bank staffers union, the All India Monetary institution Employee’s Association (AIBEA) on Saturday released the list of wilful defaulters who owe Rs.1,47,350 crore to public sector banks. The AIBEA acknowledged that the reason for this launch of wilful defaulters in the overall public arena is in the hobby of the country and demanded that these defaulters could simply peaceable now no longer be allowed to contest in elections and retain public offices. In a detailed assertion, the AIBEA fashioned secretary C.H Venkatachalam demanded that the Banks must post the names of all defaulters and stringent measures needs to be taken to fetch properly the corporate loans and wilful default needs to be made as a prison offence. AIBEA furthermore acknowledged that complete Deposits in Indian banks crossed larger than Rs.138 lakh crores and veteran man’s savings are protected in the banks.
“This day the overall public sector banks have grown in a gigantic attain proliferating with their branches in every nook and nook. This day the overall Deposits of all commercial banks are larger than Rs.138 lakh crores. Thus, savings of the frequent man is protected in the Banks,” acknowledged AIBEA. The Association furthermore demanded that the Central Authorities must toughen public sector banks and present adequate capital in all banks.

As per the list released by AIBEA, as on September 30, 2019, the overall public sector banks are going by 2426 instances with wilful defaulters of Rs.1,47,350 crore. The list is of these having default from Rs.5 crore going by instances in courts and descend under the category of ‘wilful defaulters’. In the AIBEA released wilful defaulters list highest is from Converse Monetary institution of India (SBI) with Rs. 43,887 crores, adopted by Punjab Nationwide Monetary institution and Monetary institution of Baroda with Rs.22,370 crores and Rs.14,661 crores dues. Out of the overall 2426 instances, these three banks are having 1365 instances of wilful defaulters. Among the many pause 33 defaulters (Rs.500 crore and above) complete dues of this category are Rs.32,737 crores.
