In a move to enhance the user experience, has introduced a new called Notes for search results. The feature enables users to leave and read comments directly on search results, creating a dynamic platform for sharing insights and opinions on web pages.
The feature is currently being tested in Google Search Labs, and it is expected to be rolled out to all users in the coming months. To use the feature, users simply need to click on the designated “Notes” button displayed below relevant search results. This action opens a panel where users can freely comment on the corresponding web page, sharing their experiences, opinions, and insights with others.
To ensure a constructive and respectful exchange of ideas, Google has implemented a moderation system. This safeguards the integrity of the feature by eliminating comments that violate community guidelines, such as those deemed spamful, offensive, or illegal.
Here is how the Notes feature works:,
1. When you perform a search on Google, you may see a “Notes” button below some of the results.
2. Click on the “Notes” button to open a panel where you can read and leave comments about the web page.
3. You can sign in with your Google account to leave comments, or you can leave anonymous comments.
4. Comments are moderated, and Google will remove any comments that are considered to be spam, offensive, or illegal.
