Apple launched the iPhone 15 series and new Apple Watch models at the Wonderlust event. The latest iPhone lineup includes four new smartphones — iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The iPhone 15 series brings several improvements from last year’s iPhone 14. This year’s base models — iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus get the Dynamic Island, 48MP main camera, USB Type-C charging, a new 2x Telephoto lens and the. Apart from this, the Cupertino-based tech giant has also brought multiple mobile gaming features to the latest iPhone lineup.
iPhone 15 Pro models new mobile gaming features
Apple has confirmed that the iPhone 15 Pro models will feature the latest A17 Pro chipset which is the industry’s first 3nm chip. A17 Pro will bring improvements to the entire chip, including the biggest GPU redesign in Apple’s history.
The latest GPU is up to 20% faster and will unlock new experiences. This GPU features a 6-core design that will increase peak performance and energy efficiency.
This new processor also takes mobile gaming on iPhone 15 Pro models to the next level. The chipset will not only promise to offer better graphic performance but will also support the Ray-tracing technology. This technology helps in displaying realistic light in video games. With hardware-accelerated ray tracing (which is 4x faster than software-based ray tracing) iPhone 15 Pro will offer smoother graphics, as well as more immersive AR apps and gaming experiences.
The powered-up chip will also support the console versions of Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 4 Remake and Assassin’s Creed Mirage on iPhone Pro models. Apple has also confirmed that these games will arrive for iPhone 15 Pro later this year.
The iPhone 15 series models will be available for pre-order starting September 15. These new models will start shipping on September 22.
