OnePlus has opened the registrations for the first beta build for OxygenOS 14, which will be exclusively available to OnePlus 11 users in India and North America. This build offers users a preview of the numerous new features and improvements that OxygenOS 14 has to offer.
OnePlus has officially confirmed that they will release OxygenOS 14, based on Android 14, globally on September 25, 2023.
The new operating system will feature the ‘Trinity Engine,’ which will optimise the hardware and software of OnePlus devices to improve power consumption efficiency, multitasking capability, and overall performance. This technology aims to address common industry challenges and deliver a faster, smoother, and more enduring experience for users.
How to register for OxygenOS 14 open beta
Starting from September 12, users can apply until the application limit of 5,000 users is reached. If you want to apply for OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1, follow these steps. Do note that these instructions are intended only for the OnePlus 11.Further, your phone must be running on the latest OxygenOS 13.1 version.
Before proceeding, ensure that your device’s battery level is above 30% and that a minimum of 4 GB of storage space is available. Please be advised that Carrier version devices (TMO/Verizon) are not compatible with the Open beta builds.
- Make sure your device is running one of the detectable versions (CPH2447_126.96.36.1990(EX01) or CPH2447_188.8.131.521(EX01)).
- Access the application form through Settings > About device > “up to date” > top right icon > “Beta program” and follow the provided steps.
- OnePlus will review applications within 5 workdays of the application channel’s closure. If approved, users can expect to receive the version within 3 workdays.
- After approval, users can download the version by going to Settings > About device > “Download Now.”
OxygenOS 14 for OnePlus 11: What’s new and known issues
The OnePlus 11 OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 update enhances security and privacy for photo and video-related permissions. It optimises system performance and app launch speed. The Aquamorphic Design now has a more natural colour style, revamped notification sounds, and new ringtones. Before installing the OnePlus 11 OxygenOS 14 beta, be aware of known issues — the flight mode icon may not disappear, flight mode may not activate immediately, occasional flashes while using Notes, there is a black screen glitch when accessing step tracker, dual-channel network acceleration may not initiate, Quick Launch may not respond, screen flashes during app startup animations, the up-swipe gesture may intermittently fail.
