झारखंड की राजधानी रांची में एक ऐसे भी शिक्षक हैं, जो अपनी सैलरी बच्चों को खेल में चैंपियन बनाने में खर्च कर दे रहे हैं. रांची के अजय झा मलखंड के ट्रेनर हैं और वह गरीब तबके के बच्चों को निशुल्क मलखंब की ट्रेनिंग देते हैं. उनके बच्चे विदेशों में भी जीत का परचम लहरा चुके हैं. उन्होंने मलखंब को झारखंड की पहचान बना दी है. प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने भी स्थानीय खेलों को आगे बढ़ाने पर लगातार जोर दिया है. उन्होंने अपने मासिक कार्यक्रम मन की बात में भी मलखंब का जिक्र किया था.
